TRENTON - A Trenton man was arrested and charged with aggravated assault more than a year after a shooting in a North Ward neighborhood, police said Friday.
Samuel Williams Nash, 26, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and weapons offenses for a shooting on the 300 block of Centre Street that happened in April, 2014, Lt. Stephen Varn said.
A 39-year-old man who was riding a bicycle on Centre Street man was shot in both arms an in the abdomen by an unknown gunman. A friend took the man to a local hospital, where he was treated for his injuries, Varn said.
An investigation by Detective Edward Cunningham led to an arrest warrant for Nash, who was arrested on the 1600 block of Genesee Street.
Nash's bail was set at $100,000, according to police records.
