TRENTON - Police are investigating a shooting in a West Ward neighborhood that sent a Trenton man to a hospital with two gunshot wounds, authorities said Friday.
The shooting happened shortly before 7 p.m. on the 500 block of Hoffman Avenue when a 33-year-old man walking on Hoffman near Eisenhower Avenue saw a silver or gold car pull up and someone inside began shooting, Lt. Stephen Varn said.
The man was shot once in each thigh. He flagged down a passer-by, who took him to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton, where he was interviewed by police, Varn said.
The Shooting Response Team is investigating, Varn said.
