TRENTON - Police are investigating a shooting Saturday that left a Hamilton man wounded, police said.
A 20-year-old man told police he was walking in the area of Shepherd's Alley and Cooper Street around 5:30 p.m. when he heard someone yell and heard shots fired, Lt. Christopher Doyle said.
He began running and realized he had been hit in the back by the gunfire. He caught up with some friends on Cedar Lane, who took him to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton, Doyle said.
The shooting response team is investigating, Doyle said.
