HAMILTON - A Hamilton police arrested and charged a Hamilton man in a string of home burglaries that occurred within hours of each other Wednesday, police said.
Police said Lawrence Petta, 33, broke windows of three houses -- on Copperfield Drive, Wilbert Way and Joni Avenue -- ransacked them and stole jewelry and electronics from each during the daytime hours Wednesday. Each of the burglaries was reported within a two-hour span, police said.
Stolen items from each of the houses were found after police searched Petta's house and vehicles, authorities said.
Petta was charged with three counts each of burglary and theft. He is being held in lieu of $210,000.00 bail, police said.
