Keyauna Hughey, 20, of Trenton was killed in her apartment on the 200 block of Spring Street around 11:15 a.m. Friday.

TRENTON - An autopsy on a city woman who was shot to death last week determined she was not pregnant, despite reports that she was, officials said Wednesday.

Keyauna Hughey, 20, of Trenton was pronounced dead at the scene in her apartment on the 200 block of Spring Street around 11:15 a.m. Friday.

Officers responding to the call found Hughey on the second-floor bedroom with a gunshot wound to the shoulder, prosecutors have said.

Some reports published after the shooting indicated that neighbors believed the woman who was killed could have been pregnant.

On Wednesday Casey DeBlasio, a spokeswoman for the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office, said an autopsy on Hughey confirmed she was not expecting.

Authorities have not announced any arrests in the investigation.

The investigation has taken Mercer County detectives to Bucks County, Pa.

Neighbors and police there confirmed to levittownnow.com that officers swarmed a house on Canal Road in the Levittown section of Middletown, Pa. Sunday as part of the Hughey investigation.

In addition to searching the home and property, investigators focused their attention on a green SUV parked outside, the website reported.

Mercer County investigators confirmed they were in Bucks County, but declined to elaborate.

The Friday morning shooting that killed Hughey was the second on the block last week.

On Tuesday, Sept. 6, police responded to the same block for a report of shots fired. There, they found that a 27-year-old man had been taken to the hospital by a family member. The man later told police that he'd been standing outside when he heard shots and felt a pain in his arm, police have said.
