The teen was visiting the man at his girlfriend's Ewing home when the alleged assault ocurred

EWING - A Ewing man has been charged with sexually assaulting an 18-year-old woman while armed with a knife, police said.

Jermaine Williams, 41 faces charges of aggravated sexual assault and weapons charges after the woman reported the attack to police on Sunday, according to Mercer County prosecutors.

The 18-year-old told police she visited Williams' house on Saturday and smoked marijuana with him, prosecutors said. He then took the teen into a back room of the home and pulled out a gun, prosecutors said.

Williams held a knife to her stomach while sexually assaulting her, prosecutors said. The teen called her boyfriend to pick her up from the house and reported the attack the next morning, prosecutors said.

Williams' attorney, public defender Kathleen Redpath-Perez, said the allegations are false and may be motivated by longstanding issues Williams has with the 18-year-old's mother.

The teen's mother has filed multiple lawsuits against Williams, Redpath-Perez said.

"It's a bizarre set of facts," Redpath-Perez said.

Prosecutors said Williams is unemployed and the alleged victim and her mother would stand to gain nothing from making a false accusation against Williams.

A judge maintained Williams' bail at $100,000 Friday.
