Trenton man broke into school, found clutching lollipops, cops say

TRENTON -- A Trenton man is facing charges after police say he broke into a school late Thursday and was found hiding in a classroom clutching a fistful of candy.

Kyle Wogan, 23, was charged with burglary, theft and possession of prescription drugs.

Police were called to Columbus Elementary School after the school's alarm went off around 10 p.m., said Lt. Stephen Varn. Officers arrived to find a door slightly ajar.

Officer Jose Villanueva and his K-9 partner, Thor, searched the school and found Wogan hiding inside a classroom with a fistful of Tootsie Roll Pops he took from a nearby desk, Varn said.

He was arrested and found to have five Alprazolam pills in a plastic bag.
