No was injured in the shooting
LAWRENCE -- Police are investigating a shooting that took place at a Lawrence apartment complex early Saturday.
Officers responded to Eggerts Crossings Village on a report of shots fired shortly after midnight, police spokesman Lt. Joe Amodio said.
No one was injured. Some residents thought it might have been fireworks, but police found small-caliber shell casings, Amodio said.
It appears the shooting occurred during a party at one of the complex's four clusters. Evidence is still being gathered, but witnesses told police they saw a blue SUV and a white sedan with as many as four people in each, Amodio said.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Dave Burns or Sgt. Joseph Lech at 609-896-1111.
