One vehicle struck a traffic light pole after the collision
EAST WINDSOR -- Three people were taken to the hospital Tuesday afternoon after two cars collided at an East Windsor intersection, police said.
The crash occurred around 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of Routes 133 and 571 (Princeton-Hightstown Road). Anthony James, 49, of Middlesex, was traveling west on Route 133 and 42-year-old Padmaja Kemburu, of East Windsor, was driving east on Route 571 when the two collided, police said.
The impact caused Kemburu to hit a traffic signal pole at the intersection's southeast corner, police said.
James sustained a facial laceration and complained of chest pain, while Kemburu and her 15-year-old passenger both complained of head and abdominal pains, police said. All three were taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton.
The accident remains under investigation by East Windsor police and the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office's Serious Collision Response Team. No charges have been filed at this time.
