2 pedestrians struck by vehicle in Princeton

The victims were hit shortly after 8 a.m. near Palmer Square.

PRINCETON -- Two pedestrians were struck by a vehicle on Nassau Street Thursday morning near Palmer Square, police said.

The victims were hit shortly after 8 a.m.

Both were taken to local hospitals by ambulances, with one going to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton and one to University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro, police said.

The police department said later Thursday morning the incident was under investigation and more information would be available later in the day.

Police closed Nassau Street in the area of the crash for about an hour to investigate.
