HAMILTON -- Authorities have charged a Chesterfield woman with robbing two TD Bank locations in the township Friday evening and Saturday morning, Hamilton police said Monday.

The woman, Josephine Sari, 42, is expected to be charged with a third robbery that occurred earlier in the day Friday, at a Wells Fargo branch in Willingboro, police said.

Hamilton police Detective Capt. James Stevens said the department received numerous tips this weekend after surveillance pictures of the robber - who carried a distinctive green handbag - were published by local media.

Hamilton detectives and FBI agents went to Sari's Chesterfield home on Sunday, but apprehended her at a location in Willingboro later that day, Stevens said.

He declined to say where exactly the arrest occurred.

Sari is currently charged with robbing TD locations on Whitehorse-Hamilton Square Road Friday evening and Quakerbridge Road Saturday morning.

She is suspected of robbing a Wells Fargo branch at about 11:40 a.m. on Route 130 northbound in Willingboro as well.

In each robbery, the woman demanded cash with a note, and in the Hamilton robberies she stuffed the cash in a bright green handbag and fled the banks on foot.

She also wore a scarf on her head and dark sunglasses.
