A marine unit from the Trenton Fire Department also responded to the scene, Williams said.

The incident is under investigation, Williams said.

Jesus Diaz Melendez, 26, has been missing since he and a friend were ejected after running aground in the Delaware on May 7.

A group of boaters rescued Melendez's friend from the shore around 7 p.m.

The friend, who was not identified, told rescuers he and Melendez ran aground and both men were ejected from his boat. Melendez was the operator of the boat but neither man was wearing a life jacket, the friend said.
