Zuri Shy, 27 and Brion McMillian, 35, were each arrested Saturday on separate incidents
TRENTON - Two Trenton men were arrested on assault charges stemming from domestic violence incidents Saturday, police said.
Zuri Shy, 27 and Brion McMillian, 35, were each arrested Saturday on separate incidents. Each was charged with aggravated assault and making terroristic threats, Lt. Stephen Varn said.
Shy was also charged with simple assault, obstruction, resisting arrest, and three outstanding warrants. His bail was set at $40,000, according to police records.
McMillian was also charged with simple assault and two outstanding warrants. His bail was set at $100,000, according to police records.
Shy was arrested on the 300 block of Chestnut Ave., around 10:44 a.m. after a 25-year-old woman told police Shy had grabbed her by the neck during an argument and strangled her, threatening to kill her. She had visible signs of injury, Varn said.
Shy also ran from arresting officers, leading them on a short chase before he was caught, Varn said.
McMillian was arrested on Hampton Avenue around 4:15 p.m. in connection with an incident on Jan. 5, around 2 a.m., Varn said.
A 28-year-old woman told police that she and McMillian were arguing when he grabbed her by the hair and began slapping and punching her. He then started to strangle her while slamming her head on the floor and threatening to kill her, Varn said.
