Falls police charged Dillie Brownlee, 50, and Kim Smith, 40, are charged with felonies for the Saturday Feb. 20 crime.
TRENTON -- Two Trenton women assaulted a 7-Eleven clerk while robbing the Falls, Pa. convenience store of cigarettes in the middle of the night, levittownnow.com reported.
Falls police charged Dillie Brownlee, 50, and Kim Smith, 40, with aggravated assault, conspiracy to commit robbery and related offenses following the Feb. 20 incident at the West Trenton Avenue store near Morrisville.
The 7-Eleven clerk told police the women came into the store and Smith asked the clerk to clean the microwave so she could use it to heat up a sandwich, the website reported.
While cleaning the microwave, Smith went behind the counter and put Newport cigarettes in her purse.
When the clerk went to stop her, Smith allegedly struck the clerk and grabbed a utility knife and metal rod, which the clerk was able to knock out of her hand, the site reported.
Smith then tossed Brownlee a pack of cigarettes before the women fled. Police said the woman swiped a total of 56 packs of smokes from the store.
