TRENTON - A 33-year-old Trenton man was arrested and charged after a 16-year-old girl said he repeatedly sexually assaulted her over 18 months, police said.

The girl told police on Feb. 16 that Alverado sexually assaulted her six- or seven times in the 18 months at a house on Lalor Street, where the two lived, Lt. Stephen Varn said.
Alverado was arrested Thursday at police headquarters following an investigation by Detective Robert Mantis, Varn said.
