TRENTON - A Trenton man was arrested by federal marshals Monday in connection with a 2014 home invasion robbery, police said.
Daquan Square, 29, was arrested on the 1900 block of Genessee Street around 8:30 p.m. Monday by U.S. Marshals. A warrant had been issued for Square in connection with a home invasion on the first block of Randall Avenue on Sept. 22, 2014, Lt. Stephen Varn said.
Police previously had arrested Square's accomplice, Manuel Murray, 22, in connection with the robbery. Murray was arrested on Sept. 25, 2014, Varn said.
The two men entered the Randall Avenue address and demanded money from two victims inside. One of the men searched the house and found a safe hidden in a bedroom closet, Varn said.
The pair at gunpoint ordered the victims to open the safe, took $700 in cash that was inside and ran from the house, Varn said.
Square was charged with two counts of robbery, burglary, theft and weapons possession. He also had two outstanding warrants. His bail was set at $100,000, according to police records.
