HOPEWELL TOWNSHIP - Ground white paper that fell from an envelope at a Bank of America branch in Hopewell caused a shut-down of the building and brought in a HAZMAT team, authorities said.
Shortly before 11 a.m. a bank employee at the branch office off Scotch Road was processing mail when a suspicious substance fell out of one of the letters, police said.
A portion of the building was evacuated. The Trenton Fire Department Hazardous Materials Team arrived and analyzed the substance, which was ground paper particles, police said.
the building was re-opened after about an hour, police said.
