Prosecutors believe the man molested his family member multiple times and that should factor into the sentencing. The judge disagreed.
TRENTON - A man was sentenced Thursday to four years in prison for one incident in which he inappropriately touched a young family member.
But prosecutors believe the full scope of the molestation was far worse.

Ronald Fox (Courtesy of the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office) Ronald Fox, 58, of Trenton was given the four-year sentence during a court appearance Thursday after pleading guilty to touching a 9-year-old family member's buttocks once last year.
Assistant Prosecutor Michael Mennuti said Thursday that prosecutors had a tape that gave more information. The tape was a recording of Fox admitting to police that he touched the young girl multiple times in multiple places, he said.
The tape should be evidence that Fox is a danger to society and should factor into his sentencing, Mennuti argued.

Fox's attorney, Malaeika Montgomery, argued that Fox openly admits to the one incident of molestation and said whether or not Fox told police he had touched the girl multiple times should have no bearing on the Thursday sentencing.
Judge Robert Billmeier viewed the tape during a short recess in court and agreed with Montgomery, sentencing Fox to four years and a lifetime of supervised parole.
He also brought out a letter the victim's mother had written.
"It doesn't matter how many years you do, the thoughts of what you did to my daughter... won't go away," the mother wrote. She did not appear in court Thursday for Fox's sentencing. "I do not feel sorry for you. Only hatred and anger."
