LAWRENCE -- Dozens of volunteers clad in bright orange Home Depot T-shirts spent Thursday giving the American Legion Post 414 in Lawrence a facelift.
The effort was part of the home improvement chain's fifth annual Celebration of Service campaign.
The Team Depot volunteers renovated three bathrooms, updated the lounge ceiling, upgraded the lighting, added landscaping outside and painted the building.

The Home Depot Foundation is also donating up to $1 million to veteran causes when customers share their support for veterans and volunteerism on social media between now and Veterans Day.
On Twitter and Instagram, people can share a #ServiceSelfie and on Facebook, likes, comments and shares on Team Depot's nonprofit spotlight each Monday will count toward the goal.
