The incident is similar to a home invasion that occurred Aug. 12 in the same apartment complex
LAWRENCE - Police are looking for a gunman who forced his way into a Lawrence man's apartment Wednesday and made the victim withdraw money from a nearby bank and then drive him to Trenton before he ran off, police said.
The 24-year-old Lawrence man was unharmed in the incident, which began around 11:55 a.m. in building six of the Avalon Run apartment complex, police said.
The victim answered a knock on his front door and an unknown man forced his way into the apartment. At gunpoint, the man forced the victim to drive to a local bank to withdraw money, police said.
The gunman then forced the Lawrence man to drive to Trenton, where the man bailed out of the car and ran, police said.
Police are looking for a black man between 20-25 years old, standing 5-feet, 10-inches to 6-feet tall with a thin, muscular build. He had medium dark complexion with some facial hair on his chin. The man was last seen wearing a white, v-neck t-shirt and sneakers. He has a tattoo on his upper right arm, police said.

The incident is similar to a home invasion that occurred Aug. 12 in the same apartment complex in which two men held another victim at knifepoint and ransacked his home before forcing him to withdraw money at two ATMs. That victim, too, was dropped in Trenton while the duo fled on foot, police said.
Righteous Laster, a 19-year-old Trenton man, was arrested on a dozen charges in connection with the robbery, carjacking and kidnapping, but the second suspect still remained at large.
Police Lt. Joseph Amodio said the composite sketches are a little different, but said it could be the same suspect.
