EWING - A Hamilton woman who may have been involved in a hit-and-run collision on Pennington Road Sunday walked back to the scene of the crash five minutes later and was struck by a passing driver, police said.
The 30-year-old woman, who police did not identify, was involved in a two-car crash on Pennington Road near Central Avenue at 6:57 p.m., Capt. Rocco Maurca said.
The woman, driving a red, 2011 Mazda, collided with a black, 2003 Infinity driven by a 58-year-old man from Ewing. Neither the Ewing man nor his 52-year-old woman passenger were injured in the collision, Maruca said.
The woman drove her car a few blocks away, but then walked back to the scene and tried to cross Pennington Road when she was struck by a 19-year-old man from Marlton driving a 2004 Saturn, Maurca said.
The woman suffered minor injuries and was taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center, Maurca said.
The crash is under investigation, Maurca said.
