TRENTON -- A Trenton man was shot in the shoulder during a drive-by shooting in the city early Saturday morning, police said.
The 24-year-old man was on the 400 block of Monmouth Street in the Wilbur section at about 3:15 a.m. when he heard several gunshots come from a moving vehicle, Trenton Police spokesman Lt. Stephen Varn said.
The man began to run and was struck once in the shoulder, Varn said.
An ambulance took the man to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton, where he was treated for a non-life-threatening injury, Varn said.
The Shooting Response Team is currently investigating the incident.
