TRENTON - A Trenton man was shot in the leg Monday morning on a North Ward neighborhood street, police said.
A 26-year-old man told police he was walking on the 1100 block of Martin Luther King Boulevard shortly after 11 a.m. when a dark-colored SUV stopped in the street and the driver called to him, Lt. James Slack said.
When the victim walked near the car, the driver pulled a black, semi-automatic handgun and fired, Slack said.
The man was hit in the right calf and took himself to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton, where he was treated for his injuries, Slack said.
The shooting response team is investigating, Slack said.
