Laverne Cox, a transgender rights activist and Emmy-nominated actress will be speaking at Princeton University next month.
PRINCETON - Emmy-nominated actress and award-winning transgender rights activist Laverne Cox is making a visit to Princeton University's campus in just a few weeks, according to university officials.
Cox, who shot to fame for her role in the acclaimed Netflix series, "Orange is the New Black," will be visiting the campus for a talk in mid-November, Princeton University spokesman Martin Mbugua said.
Mbugua said he could not release any further information about the event next month but said that tickets will be sold first to Princeton University students and staff. If there are any left over, others outside of the university may have a chance to claim a space.
