Shaun Crawford, 30, faces weapon and drug charges
TRENTON -- A Trenton man is facing a half-dozen charges after police seized a large quantity of drugs and a stolen handgun from him, authorities said.
Shaun Crawford, 30, is charged with receiving stolen property along with weapons and drug offenses.
Police were sent to the 200 block of Pearl Street at 7:19 p.m. Tuesday after receiving information about a man with a gun, said Lt. Stephen Varn.
Crawford, who matched the description, was standing in a doorway of a boarded-up vacant house. As the officers approached, they saw him toss something on the ground, Varn said. It turned out to be marijuana.
During a search, police confiscated 48 decks of heroin, three clear bags with marijuana, a digital scale and bags, $262.15 in suspected drug proceeds and a loaded handgun, Varn said. Police say the gun was stolen from Texas.
Detectives from the State Police assisted in the case.
