Burglary suspect arrested while showering in victim's home

A man called police after coming home to find his downstairs living room window broken and his upstairs shower running.

TRENTON -- Police say that a man returning to his home on the 900 block of Edgewood Avenue found his residence occupied by a would-be burglar on Saturday.

Authorities say that a man called Trenton Police after coming home to find his downstairs living room window broken and his upstairs shower running.

Officers arrived soon after at the man's house where they found 28-year-old Antwan White still showering himself off in the man's tub. White was apprehended while in the shower without incident, Capt. Don Fillinger said.

White is said to have drank some of the homeowner's Crown Royal Liquor and had prepared to take some of the man's clothes with him.

Officers transported White to police headquarters where he was charged with burglary, theft and criminal mischief.

White is being held on a $50,000 bail.
