Authorities tracked the suspects to the Extended Stay America Hotel in West Windsor, where they were arrested Tuesday.

HAMILTON -- Police say a Virginia man and a Trenton woman have been charged with robbing the Sun Bank branch on Route 33 at gunpoint last Friday afternoon.

Authorities tracked Joe Foster, 38, of Virginia Beach, Va. and Tiffany Scaletti, 28, of Trenton to the Extended Stay America Hotel in West Windsor, where they were arrested Tuesday night without incident.

Hamilton Detective Sgt. Brian Schroeder said in a statement Thursday that search warrants executed on the hotel room and a vehicle the duo was using yielded a black airsoft pistol.

And the vehicle was reported stolen in Trenton, Schroeder said.

Hamilton police have said that a man wearing a bandana over his face and pointing a handgun robbed the bank near Shady Lane at about 4 p.m. last Friday, Sept. 23.

Officers spoke with a bank employee who said the man entered the bank and approached a teller with a black handgun in his hand and demanded cash. The teller handed over an unknown amount of cash and the gunman left the bank in an unknown direction.

The Hamilton police statement Thursday did not say exactly what role Scaletti allegedly played in the hold-up.

Foster is charged with robbery and weapons possession charges and held initially on $250,000 bail.

Scaletti is charged with robberyand held initially on $100,000 bail.

The suspects face additional charges from crimes they allegedly committed in West Windsor, Schroeder said.

The same bank branch was robbed last month and Hamilton detectives said they would look into any possible connections between the two. Foster and Scaletti are only charged with last week's robbery.
