A GoFundMe page has been set up by the family of 22-year-old Deja Farrior-Quinones, who was killed Monday night

TRENTON -- The family of the 22-year-old woman who was killed Monday night when her car was struck by a suspect fleeing police has set up a GoFundMe page to raise money for their "fight for truth and justice."

The campaign for Deja Farrior-Quinones had raised nearly $1,500 of its $20,000 goal by Wednesday morning.

"Our angel was taken from us, and at the hands of reckless law enforcement and careless criminals, we must make them pay!" the "#justicefordeja" page reads. "We cannot allow this type of injustice go without getting reprievement, we must stand up for our community and our sweet angel Deja."

Chandler Heaviside, 22, of Jackson, faces a half-dozen charges, including death by auto while under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance and causing death while driving with a suspended license.

Prosecutors say State Police tried to stop Heaviside's SUV in Trenton after they saw an apparent drug deal, but he sped off. They pursued him into Hamilton, but stopped in the area of Whitehorse Circle while Heaviside continued north on South Broad Street.

He then ran a red light at the intersection of South Broad Street and Park Avenue, T-boning the car driven by Farrior-Quinones, who was trying to turn left onto Park Avenue, and pinning her car against a telephone pole. She was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Heaviside's two passengers -- Lawrence Sears, 28, of Manchester, and Harry Remington III, 25, of Brick -- were also charged with drug possession.

Farrior-Quinones' family described her as an ambitious woman who touched everyone with her smile.

"She didn't deserve to be taken from us at the young age of 22, she was just starting her life," the page says. "Our hearts mourn for her, and we need closure. Please help us in our fight for truth and justice."
