A driver crossed the center line and hit two oncoming vehicles, police said
PRINCETON -- Two drivers were hospitalized Monday after one of them crossed over the center line and hit two oncoming vehicles, according to a statement from Princeton Police.
The crash occurred around 1 p.m. Monday when Kevin Kerrod, 25, of Belle Mead in Montgomery was driving a Volvo S40 northbound on Great Road, the statement said.
Kerrod crossed over the double yellow lines and hit an oncoming Honda CRV, driven by James Kilgore, 68, of Princeton.
Kerrod continued on in the opposite lane of traffic before hitting a Nissan Frontier driven by 62-year-old Richard Lawton of Yardley, Pa., head-on.
Kerrod was taken to the hospital for stomach pain while Lawton was sent to the hospital for injuries to his leg and chest. Kilgore didn't report injuries, police said.
Kilgore is the head of the Princeton Packet, a weekly newspaper and Princeton staple, a packet employee confirmed Tuesday.
Officers closed down the road near the Princeton Day School following the crash. They reopened the road around 2 p.m. Monday, according to alerts. They were still investigating the crash and had not filed charges by Tuesday afternoon.
