A passing motorist drove the man who was shot multiple times to the hospital.
TRENTON -- Police say that a man was shot multiple times in a drive-by shooting near the intersection of Calhoun and Passaic Streets just after midnight on Sunday.
Shortly after receiving reports of an active shooting, a 32-year-old man who was suffering from one gun shot wound to the right shoulder and at least two more on his left side abdomen was brought to Capital Health Regional Medical Center, police said.
Police say a passing motorist drove the victim to the hospital.
Authorities say the victim explained he was walking down Calhoun St. around 12:30 when several shots were fired at him from a passing car.
Police did not provide the man's condition, but said he was able to speak with them to provide his account of what happened.
