City police and Trenton EMS were dispatched to the 500 block of Roosevelt Street for a gunshot victim at about 7 p.m.
TRENTON -- Authorities are investigating the shooting death of a man on Roosevelt Street in Trenton's West Ward Friday night, officials said.
The crime occurred on the same block where a city police officer was involved in a shooting last weekend, but the incidents are not related, the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office said.
The prosecutor's office said Jamal Laramore, 20, was shot dead Friday night.
Police and Trenton EMS were called to the scene at about 7 p.m.
The Mercer County Homicide Task Force is investigating.
Additional details were not immediately available.
Last Saturday night, Aug. 27, Alfred Toe, 34, was shot in the chest on the block while fighting for control of a gun with an off-duty Trenton police officer. Toe died a short time later at a city hospital.
The prosecutor's office has said the officer intervened when Alfred Toe's brother Constantine Toe was wounded while disarming his brother.
