Calvin McRae, 26, faces possession and intent to distribute charges
TRENTON -- A Trenton man is facing drug charges after police confiscated "Molly" and marijuana.
Officers responded to Walnut and South Cook avenues around 3:03 a.m. Friday after receiving information about a man with a handgun, said Capt. Donald Fillinger.
They drew their weapons as they exited the patrol car and ordered the group of people to put their hands up. One man, later identified as 26-year-old Calvin McRae, did not have his right hand fully raised and when one of the officers took a closer look, he noticed that McRae had a plastic baggie clenched in his hand, Fillinger said.
The bag had marijuana and a search turned up a folded $5 bill with the drug "Molly," or MDMA.
He faces possession and intent to distribute charges.
No gun was located at the scene, Fillinger said.
