Two men approached a man and a woman walking on the 1000 block of Southard Street as they were coming home, pulled a gun and demanded money
TRENTON - Police are looking for two men who shot a Trenton man in the knee during a robbery on Southard Street Monday, authorities said.
The two, one wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and one with a blue hooded sweatshirt, approached a man and a woman walking on the 1000 block of Southard Street as they were coming home, Lt. James Slack said.
The pair demanded money. One pulled what appeared to be a revolver, Slack said.
The man struggled with the gunman. Two shots were fired from the gun. One struck the man in the knee. The gunman, and the man with him, ran, Slack said.
The 44-year-old man was taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton, where he was treated for his injuries. The 57-year-old woman was unharmed, Slack said.
The Shooting Response Team is investigating, Slack said.
