First responders cut a driver from her overturned car and a medical helicopter flew her to a trauma unit in Trenton.
PLAINSBORO -- A 49-year-old Plainsboro woman was seriously injured early Friday when her car crossed into oncoming traffic on Scudders Mill Road and collided head-on with an approaching car, township police said.

The woman in the second car, a 49-year-old West Windsor resident, was taken to University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro for treatment of minor injuries,
The 8:30 a.m. crash in the area of the Bristol-Meyers Squibb campus caused police to shut the road for hours.
Police said the Plainsboro driver was driving eastbound on Scudders Mill Road when she apparently lost control, crossed the grassy median and entered the westbound lanes.
The West Windsor woman was driving westbound in the left lane when the car collided. The impact sent the Plainsboro woman's car off the road into a field, where it flipped over.
The crash is under investigation by Plainsboro police. Fire and EMS units from Monroe, Kingston and West Windsor assisted Plainsboro police, fire and EMS at the scene.
