Three shootings lead to one arrest and two injuries.
TRENTON - Edgaro Hernandez, 27, was arrested after a SWAT team entered his residence on the 300 block of Walnut Street for his suspected role in a Saturday morning drive by shooting.
Police say a woman was sitting on her front porch on the first block of Grant Street with her son when she saw a gray vehicle slowly approaching.
She recognized the passenger as Hernandez -- her sister's boyfriend with whom the family has had problems in the past, police said.
Authorities said the woman pushed her son inside when she saw a Hernandez allegedly brandishing a handgun.
She heard gunshots immediately afterward, but was relieved to find she and her son were uninjured.
Authorities say Hernandez was taken into custody without incident.
Two Sunday shootings led to two men being hospitalized and no arrests.
Police were alerted to a shooting around 3:30 p.m. Sunday when a man walked into St. Francis Medical Center with two gunshot wounds -- one in his leg and another in his forearm.
Authorities said the man was walking along the 400 block of Garfield Avenue when he was approached from behind and told to "run it."
The man ran and then heard two gunshots before falling to the ground, authorities said.
He got back up and continued to flee.
Thirty minutes later another man arrived at Capital Health Regional Medical Center with a gunshot wound to his hand.
Police said a gunman approached the man with a handgun drawn on the 1000 block of West State Street and said, "You know what it is."
The man grabbed the gun with his left hand and then the gun went off.
The gunman then fled on foot, authorities said.
Police are actively investigating both shootings. They are also investigating the possibility of the shooting being connected together or to any other recent shootings.
