Tahir Davis has been identified as the alleged Rho Waterfront night club shooter after investigation, police say.
TRENTON -- Police have identified the alleged shooter in the Rho night club shooting that injured two 21-year-old Trenton men in early May.
Tahir Davis, 26, was arrested the night of the shooting after police saw a man run and get into a car with four other men, Trenton police spokesman Lt. Stephen Varn said. When officers stopped the vehicle, they allegedly found a handgun on the floor.
Davis, Jamil Thomas, Rezaird Moore, Michael Register and Quashon Austell were charged with possession of the handgun.
However, after further investigation, police were able to identified Davis as the alleged shooter, Varn said Tuesday.
Davis is charged with two counts of aggravated assault and weapon possession.
The two 21-year-old Trenton men were wounded that night suffered non life-threatening injuries.
