Police received a call at 5:40 a.m. about a man shot on the corner of Barnt Avenue and Elm Street.
TRENTON -- A man was shot in the ankle on the corner of Barnt Avenue and Elm Street early Friday, police said.
Police received a call at 5:40 a.m. that a man was shot. When officers arrived they found a man with a gunshot wound to his ankle, police spokesman Lt. Stephen Varn said.
He was transported to the Capital Health Regional Medical Center for treatment, Varn said.
The shooting is under investigation by the Shooting Response Team.
