Foursome caught buying heroin in Trenton face drug charges

Three were from Lawrence and one was from Hopewell Township

TRENTON -- Four people were arrested Monday on drug charges after police saw them buying heroin.

Street Crimes Unit Detectives Jose Gonzalez and Stuart Owens were assisting the Mercer County Narcotics Task Force with an operation when they saw a foursome buy narcotics, police Lt. Stephen Varn said.

The detectives then pulled their car over on Whitehead Road.

Alexander Bagherian, 25, Andrew Schofield, 24, Michael Abramowicz, 24, all of Lawrence, and Rebecca Carter, 29, of Hopewell Township, were in the car.

Bagherian had 30 decks of heroin and Abramowicz had 10 decks, Varn said.

Carter and Schofield were charged with loitering to buy heroin.
