Tyron D. Lindsay, 38, was indicted on one count of first-degree murder
HAMILTON -- A Hamilton man has been indicted on charges he killed a 38-year-old woman and dumped her body in a park in October, authorities said Tuesday.
A grand jury indicted Tyron D. Lindsay, 38, last week on one count of first-degree murder in the death of Jessica Prusik, acting Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo Onofri said.
Lindsay has remained in jail on $1 million bail since his arrest Oct. 7.
Prusik's body was discovered a day earlier in a weeded area in Roebling Park off of Sewell Street, authorities said. An autopsy determined she was strangled.
Authorities had said that Lindsay was the last known person to be with Prusik on Oct. 5. Detectives were also able to place them together in a black 1992 Ford F150 extended cab, which was later found by police in Bristol, Pennsylvania.
Video surveillance showed the truck on Oct. 6 heading toward Roebling Park and when Lindsay was arrested Oct. 7 on unrelated warrants, he had Prusik's bank cards on him, authorities said.
Lindsay had been released from state prison in April 2015 after serving terms for a 2004 robbery conviction, records showed.
Prusik, who attended Hamilton's Nottingham High School during the same time as Lindsay, was a married mother of two children and stepmother to five. She had recently started her own house-cleaning business.
