Authorities said the man accused in the attack had a broken hand when arrested
TRENTON -- A Trenton man was beaten unconscious on South Cook Avenue while walking home Saturday afternoon, authorities said.
The attacker jumped the man from behind and repeatedly punched him, Trenton Police spokesman Lt. Stephen Varn said.
Officers went to St. Francis Medical Center after receiving report of the assault. The injured man identified his attacker as Ezel Knox, of Trenton, Varn said.
Knox's arrested at the corner of St. Francis and Columbus avenues about an hour later, Varn said. Knox had a fractured hand at the time he was arrested, Varn said. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
