TRENTON -- A Trenton man is facing assault and robbery charges after police say he punched a store owner after he was caught stealing the tip jar.
Willie Randall, 54, entered the store on the 800 block of South Broad Street with a woman and grabbed the store's tip jar off the counter, police Lt. Stephen Varn said.
The store owner's husband tried to stop him and a struggle ensued. Randall then punched him the face before fleeing, Varn said.
Police later found and arrested Randall after an alert was broadcast.
