The Hun School of Princeton held their 102nd Commencement on Friday, June 10, 2016.
PRINCETON -- Through speckled sunlight passing through lush, green trees, The Hun School of Princeton graduated 147 students from diverse backgrounds at their 102nd commencement Friday.
The Hun School is home to students from twenty-three countries and eighteen states.
In her remarks, student commencement speaker Tasneem Ebrahim, who is from the Kingdom of Bahrain, said: "Diversity is not some fancy decoration in your house... Diversity is your toolbox to build, expand, and even tear down some parts of your life to make it a better one."
"Before I came here, I didn't want the pressure to change who I am. Today, I am in awe of how much I have changed, yet never before been more myself than I am today."
The ceremony took place on the lawn behind historic Russell Hall.
Headmaster Jonathan Brougham presided over the ceremony, which included the presentation of faculty endowment awards and twenty other student awards in subjects from Latin to photography.
Some of the schools welcoming the most members of the Class of 2016 are Boston University, Boston College, Carnegie Mellon, Columbia, Dartmouth, Duke, George Washington University, Gettysburg College, University of Pennsylvania, Princeton University, Purdue, University of Southern California, Syracuse, University of Virginia, Villanova University, and Williams College.
