Titus Caver, 31, and Dominic Plumeri, 22, were arrested
TRENTON -- Two Trenton men are facing drug charges after police say they saw them involved in a drug deal.
Detectives were patrolling in the area of Chestnut Avenue and Adeline Street at about 10 p.m. Monday when they saw what they believed to be a narcotics transaction between two people -- one of whom police recognized as 31-year-old Titus Caver, police Lt. Stephen Varn said.
When the duo became aware of the detectives' presence, they quickly separated. Caver fled on foot, while the other man who was later identified as 22-year-old Dominic Plumeri, was on a bike, Varn said.
Police stopped Plumeri and found him with 10 packets of suspected heroin. He was charged with possession of CDS and loitering to commit a CDS offense.
A warrant was issued for Caver, who was arrested by the Violent Crimes and Warrant Unit at about 12:38 p.m. Tuesday in the area of North Clinton and Grant avenues.
Caver's charges include possession of CDS, intent to distribute within 500 feet of a park and 1,000 feet of a school and loitering to commit a CDS offense.
