Trokon Williams was brought back under secured transportation on Saturday, officials said.
TRENTON -- A Trenton fugitive who earned a spot on the Mercer County Sheriff's Office's Most Wanted list for nearly two years is back in New Jersey.
After almost three years on the run, Trokon Williams, 24, was brought back to the county under secured transportation on Saturday, officials said.
Williams was apprehended by agents from the Northern Oklahoma Violent Crimes Task Force, a U.S. Marshals' task force, just two weeks ago.
The arresting agents were acting on information discovered and provided by Mercer County sheriff's detectives, sheriff's spokesman Ernest Cerino said at the time of apprehension.
He was held in the Tulsa Oklahoma's county jail while awaiting extradition.
Williams failed to appear for his pre-arraignment court hearing in June 2013 in Mercer County. He stands accused of causing bodily injury to a victim with a cutting instrument, officials have said.
He was placed on the Mercer's Most Wanted in June 2014.
Williams is currently being held at the Mercer County Correction Center while awaiting his next court appearance, officials said.
