Trenton man shot in leg says he has no memory of gunfire

A 32-year-old man shot in the leg told police he doesn't remember anything about the shooting that wounded him

TRENTON - A Trenton man was hospitalized with a gunshot wound to the leg after police found him bleeding on the street a block away from reported gunfire, authorities said Friday.

Police responded to a report of gunfire on the 300 block of Clinton Avenue shortly before 1 a.m. and found the 32-year-old man bleeding on the first block of Poplar Avenue, Lt. Stephen Varn said.

The man was taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton with a gunshot wound to the right shin. He was listed in stable condition Friday, Varn said.

The man told police he did not remember anything about the shooting, Varn said.

The Shooting Response Team is investigating, Varn said.
