Trenton police are investigating a stabbing on South Clinton Avenue
TRENTON - A Trenton man was rushed to emergency surgery Thursday after police found him bleeding on the street from a stab wound, authorities said.
Police responded to a report of a stabbing in progress on the 1100 block of South Clinton Avenue shortly before 9 p.m. and found a 24-year-old man bleeding from a knife wound to the abdomen, Lt. Stephen Varn said.
The man told police he was stabbed by a man who fled on a bicycle, Varn said.
He was taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton where he was rushed into emergency surgery, Varn said.
The man was listed in stable condition and he was expected to recover from his injuries, Varn said.
