Josephine Sari, 42, of Chesterfield was apprehended at about 8:30 p.m. Sunday night at a location in Willingboro, after not finding her at her home, police said.

Hamilton detectives Matthew Donovan and Frank Burger tracked her to the location after receiving numerous tips after security footage of robberies in Hamilton and Willingboro hit local media outlets Saturday.

The pictures showed a female robber clad in dark clothing and sunglasses with a black scarf on her head - and carrying a bright green handbag.

On Monday evening, Sari was at Hamilton police headquarters, and detectives seized a green handbag as evidence, Hamilton police Detective Capt. James Stevens said.

Hamilton police charged Sari Sunday with robbing TD Bank branches on Whitehorse-Hamilton Square Road Friday evening and Quakerbridge Road Saturday morning.

On Monday afternoon, Willingboro Lt. Chris Vetter said detectives are charging Sari with robbing a Wells Fargo bank on Route 130 at about 11:40 a.m. Friday morning, as well as a convenience store about a half hour prior.

On Sunday, Vetter said, the owner of Quick Shop in Willingboro called police to report that the person in the security footage being show in local media outlets was the woman who tried to rob his store Friday morning.

The woman demanded cash and brandished a screwdriver, but an employee refused to hand over any cash and the woman left.

Willingboro detectives reviewed footage from the Quick Shop and found the woman's description matched the bank footage, Vetter said.

Sari is charged in Mercer County with robbery was being held on $200,000 cash-only bail for those charges, Hamilton police said.

The FBI is assisting the investigation and is reviewing whether to charge Sari with federal crimes, Hamilton police said.

Hamilton and Willingboro police did not elaborate on possible motives for Sari's alleged actions.

Anyone with any additional information about the incidents is asked to contact Donovan or Burger at 609-581-4030 or 609-581-4010.
