$110,000 in heroin, cocaine and other drugs seized from five houses Wednesday, cops say
TRENTON - A county narcotics squad raided five houses in Trenton and Hamilton Wednesday, arresting eight people and seizing $28,160 in cash and $110,000 in drugs, authorities said Thursday.
File photo The Mercer County Narcotics Task Force on Wednesday raided three houses in Hamilton and two in Trenton after a two-month investigation, the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office said.
Police seized 2,668 decks of heroin, about 3 ounces of raw heroin, a pound of cocaine, 28 Diazepam, 16 amphetamine, three Oxycodone and two Endocet pills, along with packing material and paraphernalia during the raids. The estimated street value of the drugs is more than $110,000, prosecutors said.

The raids were conducted in Hamilton at a house on Mario Drive an apartment on Grady Road and an apartment on Hamilton Avenue. In Trenton, houses on the 600 block of Centre Street and the 700 block of Second Street, prosecutor's said.
The targets of the raids, Julian Gonzalez and Matthew McGovern, were arrested on the porch of McGovern's Mario Drive home in Hamilton, prosecutors said.
Gonzalez, 26, was charged with drug possession and distribution offenses, maintaining a drug manufacturing facility and drug paraphernalia charges. He was being held in lieu of $600,000 cash bail, prosecutors said.
Matthew McGovern, 34, was charged with drug possession and distribution offenses. His bail was set at $250,000, prosecutors said.
Also charged in the raids were:
- Freddy Carrera 31, of Trenton, was charged drug possession and distribution charges. Carrera's bail was set at $50,000.
- Amanda Carmona, 42, of Trenton, was charged with drug possession and distribution offenses. Carmona's bail was set at $200,000.
- Cynthia Vasquez, 27, of Trenton, was charged with drug possession and distribution charges. Vasquez's bail was set at $200,000.
- Coraly Henriquez, 20, of Trenton, was charged with drug possession and distribution offenses. Henriquez's bail was set at $200,000.
- Margarita Torres, 43, of Trenton, was charged with drug possession and distribution charges. Torres' bail was set at $200,000.
- Rafael Soto, 43, of Trenton, was charged with drug possession and distribution offenses. Soto's bail was set at $200,000.
