MOUNT HOLLY -- A former U.S. Air Force sergeant who previously served at Joint Base McGuire-Dix Lakehurst was sentenced to four years in state prison last week for distributing child pornography, officials said.
Matthew A. Cavada Matthew A. Cavada, 31, was sentenced in Burlington County Superior Court Friday, the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office said. He pleaded guilty earlier this year to the charge.
When authorities arrested Cavada in 2014 he was living in Pemberton Township.
The accusations against him alleged he possessed child pornography and was making it available online for others to download, police and prosecutor's said.
Special agents from the Air Force's Office of Special Investigations Detachment at the joint base worked the case along with Burlington prosecutor's and Pemberton Township police.
