School evacuated in response to bomb threat
TRENTON - The Monument School on Pennington Avenue was evacuated Monday morning while police investigate a bomb threat, authorities said.
Trenton police were contacted by school personnel around 11:15 a.m. on a report of a bomb threat, Lt. Stephen Varn said.
The school was closed to fill a $19 million gap in the Trenton Public School system's budget, but it has been used for the 9th Grade Academy while a new Trenton high school is being built.
Students were still evacuated by 11:45 a.m.
Students were allowed back into the building before 1 p.m.
No other information was immediately available.
